​My name is Isabel Deslauriers. In 2010 my husband and I moved to Saint-Eugène, Ontario on a hobby farm. We have been working on becoming more self-sufficient in terms of our food. We grow the majority of the fruits and vegetables that we use over the course of a year. Along the way I learned to garden, keep bees, harvest maple syrup, forage, can, preserve, make bread and cheese, and adapt the way I cook.  It's been a great learning journey and I love connecting with others who share similar interests, to learn and share my knowledge, too.
